Design phase: no unit has been built or measured yet. Help build the first one

A website for a bed that doesn't exist yet

Today the project gets a website. That may look early: nobody has built an Open Bed Climate system yet, and every temperature on the site is a model estimate. That is exactly the point. The design, the thermal model, the safety logic, the firmware core and the Home Assistant hub component exist and are tested in software. What’s missing is hardware on a real bed, and that needs people.

What’s on the site:

  • Three kits, rendered straight from their TOML files, with the claims the test suite checks.
  • The parts catalog by role, with how well each example part is verified.
  • The safety concept, rendered from the repository, never retyped.
  • A schedule editor that draws your night as a curve and gives you the YAML for your hub.
